Venues for Holiday 2017

Saturday, December 9, 2017

  • 2 PM (1:30 call)
  • Crista Senior Living  345 N. 190th St., Shoreline, WA 98133
  • The Crista campus is large. Here are some extra directions: Turn from Fremont Ave. N on to N 190th St. and follow N 190th downhill. You’ll come to a place ahead of you that looks like a dead end, because it is. BUT–you continue down the hill as it winds to the right and if you look to your right you’ll see down the hill in a valley is the King’s School stadium as a landmark. Keep following the road downhill; it feels like you’re going the wrong way, but you’re not. On your right as you descend will be a line of parking spaces; we can use these. At the bottom of the hill you’ll come to a stop sign. In front of you is the activity center with a flagpole in the front. To your left are buildings for independent living; to your right are more parking spaces. We also can use these; at least, any that don’t have a sign for residents in front of them. The activity center address is 345 and that is the building in which we play; it says “activity center” on it. The driveway/road to your left is One Way and circles the independent living buildings. We can park in either of those places. The first spaces you come to are up the road a little bit (not a lot) from the activity center, but people with smaller instruments ought to be able to use those easily.

Venues for Fall 2017

Monday, November 6, 2017

  • 7PM (6:30 call)
  • Brookdale Foundation House 32290 1st Ave S., Federal Way, WA, 98003 253-256-2765
  • This venue can be a little tricky to find if it’s your first time, especially in the dark! Please take a look at a closeup on Google Maps before you set out. Brookdale is off from the main road, situated behind the Kaiser Perm. complex and another long-term care facility. You can enter either from S. 320th or from 1st Ave. S. Last year the signs just said “Foundation House,” without the Brookdale. Perhaps—hopefully—they’ve been updated! There is a large parking lot just across from the entrance gate if you can’t find a spot closer to the front entrance. See you there!

If there are no cones up as previously mentioned, please understand that we can park in either of those places. The first spaces you come to are up the road a little bit (not a lot) from the activity center, but people with smaller instruments ought to be able to use those easily.
